As a Project Engineer, you will report to the Project Manager and be responsible for all of the technical and detail aspects of your assigned projects both on-site and in our offices. You will work with the Project Manager and Superintendent to assure conformance with Construction Documents and identify and solve technical problems prior to construction in the field. This position offers potential growth into a Project Management role with the Company.
Successful candidates will possess a university degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture and a minimum of four years of work experience with a general contractor in a commercial building environment. The types of previous project experience which is relevant to your duties as a Project Engineer would include ground-up structures, renovation/redevelopment of existing buildings (including mid and high-rise structures), seismic/structural upgrades and interior tenant improvements.
The position requires equal interest and ability in technical coordination of work in the field as well as in performing office functions including estimating, bidding, contact/subcontract administration, document control, shop drawing review, computerized project scheduling and job cost control. A strong commitment to honesty and passionate attention to detail is essential to your success with the Company.
It is also important that candidates have well developed written and verbal communication skills, strong computer abilities, of common sense and an ability to present themselves professionally.
